Sindh Salaries Increased in Budget 2022023

Recently, the Sindh Government made an announcement that for the 2022-23 budget year, there would be an increase in the pay of personnel working for the province government. The Sindh government reportedly boosted wages by 15 percent and pensions by 55 percent. This information was reported in the press. The speech on Sindh’s budget was delivered by the Chief Minister of Sindh.

He noted that the ad hoc reliefs that had been granted over the course of the preceding five years (2016-2021) had been consolidated, and that the updated pay scale 2022 for the civil Sindh personnel had been based on the pattern used by the federal government. On the other hand, the government has suggested an ad hoc relief of 15 percentage points to be applied to the basic pay scale of a civil government employee beginning on July 1, 2022.

At the same time, the government of Sindh made the announcement that public officials in the BPS 01-16 pay grades would get disparity allowances at a rate of 33 percent of their base salary. However, the DRA will be set at 30 percent of the base wage for employees with a BPS of 17 and above.
