HEC Requests Universities to Promote Lassi and Sattu to Replace Tea
In an effort to cut down on the cost of the nation’s import bill, the federal government has, as of late, placed restrictions on a broad variety of non-essential and luxury goods. In addition, the proposals made by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for cutting down on the national import bill have been submitted.
Dr. Shaista Sohail, who serves as the Executive Director of HEC, was the one who was responsible for sending the letter to all of the Vice-Chancellors and Rectors of both public and private institutions. The HEC has suggested raising the amount of traditionally prepared beverages made in the area, such as “Lassi” and “Sattu,” that are consumed.
HEC Promote lassi and sattu
The letter went on to say that they are also working toward the goal of generating revenue and job possibilities for the individuals who are participating in this venture. In addition, the HEC has put out the proposition of encouraging tea production on a regional scale. It will result in a significant reduction in the amount of money spent on tea as a part of the national import bill. All Vice Chancellors of universities will get the communication informing them of the decision to introduce Lassi and Sattu.
The letter continued by stating that they are also working toward the objective of producing income and job opportunities for the people who are taking part in this enterprise. A further suggestion made by the HEC is to promote regional tea production. As a result, the amount of money spent on tea as part of the national import bill will be significantly reduced. The notification advising all university vice chancellors of the choice to introduce Lassi and Sattu would be sent to them.
